ἀντιάω, Hom. uses [tense] pres. only in the [dialect] Ep. forms ἀντιόω, inf. ἀντιάαν, [ per.] 3pl. imper. ἀντιοώντων, part. ἀντιόων, όωσα, o/wntes; but ἀντιόω, which is [tense] pres. in Il.1.31, 23.643, serves as [tense] fut. in 13.752: [tense] fut. ἀντιάσω [ᾰ] Od.22.28, Thgn.(v.infr.): [tense] aor.

I go for the purpose of meeting or receiving:
1 c. gen. rei, goin quest of, when an aim or purpose is implied,

πολέμοιο μενοίνα ἀντιάαν Il.13.215

ὄφρα πόνοιο . . ἀντιάσητον 12.3; οὐκέτ' ἀέθλων ἄλλων ἀντιάσεις Od.22.28

, al.: metaph. of an arrow, hit,

:— often of the gods, come (as it were) to meet an offering, and so, in past tenses, to have received, accepted it,
